Following two dominant City Oilers’ victories over UCU Canons in the semi-finals of the National Basketball League, the latter managed to redeem themselves on Sunday.

The Mukono based outfit avoided a sweep, beating the Oilers 60-50 in Game Three on Sunday at YMCA, Wandegeya, to take the tie to 2-1.

UCU will now be keen on tying the series to 2-2 when the two heavyweights meet on Wednesday, in what promises to be a pulsating encounter.

On Sunday though, UCU had Fayed Baale and Fadhil Chuma to thank as the duo managed 14 and 11 points, respectively.

On the other hand, it was a quiet evening for the Oilers’ stars as no single player managed double figures.

Francis Azolibe and Jimmy Enabu were their best performers with nine (09) and eight (08) points, respectively.

The victor after this Best of Five series will meet the Nam Blazers, who have already progressed to their first ever final.
