Newly promoted side, NEC FC have announced the appointment of Hussein Mbalangu as their new head coach.
Mbalangu joins the Bugolobi outfit as a successor to Micheal ‘Skills’ Lukyamuzi, who exited the Bugolobi outfit due to lack of a CAF ‘A’ coaching licence, which is a top-flight requisite.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Hussein Mbalangu as coach NEC FC,” partly read a club statement released on Friday.
“Mbalangu a certified CAF A licence holder joins with a vast football coaching/management experience both at the local and international levels,” the club added.
Mbalangu’s last job was at Blacks Power FC, whose stay in the top flight didn’t last, as they were relegated having finished 14th on the table. They, along with Onduparaka FC went down.
It has also been confirmed that Mbalangu will have former Onduparaka head coach Dudu Bosco as the assistant.
Besides Blacks Power, Mbalangu has coached at Arua Hill SC and Mbarara City FC. He has also had roles at Azam FC in Tanzania and Banadir in Somalia.
