OFFICIAL: Kampala Queens FC Unveil Defender Esther Namusoke

The reigning champions of FUFA Women Super League Kampala Queens FC have officially unveiled defender Esther Namusoke from Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC.

Namusoke inked a three-year employment contract to become the eighth signing of the club.

According to reliable sources, Kampala Queens FC paid three Million shillings to Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC to complete Esther Namusoke’s deal.

The 18yr old soft-spoken defender, has been training with Kampala Queens FC for over a month.

Upon her unveiling, Namusoke promised to deliver to the club’s expectations.

“I’m happy to join the best Women Football club in Uganda and looking forward to give in my best.” She started via club’s Website.

“I wish to contribute as the club fulfills it’s dreams both in the domestic league and at the continental level. With God everything is possible.” She concluded.

Namusoke was part of Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC squad that won the 2023 FUFA Women’s Cup.

She was also part of the Uganda U-17 Women’s National Team (Teen Cranes) squad that competed in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers in 2022.

Namusoke is a graduate of Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga, which is the feeder for Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC and she has featured in the FUFA Women Super League seasons.

Other Signings and CAF preparations

She becomes the third Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC player to join Kampala Queens FC, joining Catherine Nagadya and Patience Nabulobi.

Florence Imanizabayo stretches Namusoke’s right leg during training

Kampala Queens FC have so far unveiled eight players namely; Esther Namusoke, Florence Imanizabayo, Catherine Nagadya, Patience Nabulobi, Hadijah Nandago, Samalie Nakacwa, Shakirah Nyinagahirwa and Fazila Ikwaput.

The Charles Ssenyange coached side will represent Uganda in the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers that will be played between 12th-30th August, 2023 in Uganda.

Kampala Queens FC was pitted in group A alongside CBE FC (Ethiopia), Bujja Queens (Burundi), FAD FC (Djibouti) and Yei Joint Stars (South Sudan)
