As they set out to make an instant renaissance, Onduparaka FC have kicked off with making drastic changes in the club’s administrative structures.

The Caterpillars have thus appointed Anthony Afeti as club president, who takes over from majority shareholder Benjamin Nyakuni.

The latter has been at the helm of the West Nile outfit since it’s foundation and guided them up to the Uganda Premier League in 2016.

“Mr. Afeti Anthony is our new club president replacing Mr. Benjamin Nyakuni who Gracefully held that position since our inception,” a communication from the club confirmed.

Previously, Afeti has served as club’s CEO and Operations Manager; “and it is his commitment and dedication to us that has propelled our stakeholders to believe he can take over the mantle from Mr. Nyakuni and steer Onduparaka back to glory days.”

Afeti holds considerable experience as after leaving Onduparaka to join rivals Arua Hill SC in 2020, he was key in guiding the latter to the topflight.

He departed Barifa Stadium in January this year and got replaced by Pius Bamwange as CEO.

Onduparaka were relegated last season but are now eyeing immediate promotion back to the Uganda Premier League.
