The Budo League season five finale helicopter trophy presentation broke the internet with mixed reactions.

Flown to Legends Rugby grounds the host venue of the outing from Kololo Independence Grounds, the cool move was supported and bashed in equal measures.

As some labeled Budonians as show offs, they did win a number of hearts away from the rivals in; St. Mary’s College Kisubi also known as Smackists who have a couple of weeks to plan for a comeback during their finale.

The other institute that had it’s fingers also get burnt was Ntare School who will definitely welcome the challenge come next season.

Away from the social media banter, on the field of play, Daniel Afedra scored the only goal of the game as Peaky Blinders defended the title following a 1-0 victory over Abachuba in the finals of the main cup.

“Despite challenges in the regular season, there has been a massive effort from each and everyone from the team. The boys really worked hard and it paid off,” Blinders Captain Jonathan Sentamu noted.

Meanwhile, in the George Semivule Cup (second tier event), Dujay FC, class of 2017 emerged 2-1 winners over Team Massape, class of 2004.

The outing lived up to the hype with lots of glamour including fireworks display and local artists performances led by Bebe Cool all powered by Guinness.

“One of the things we strive to do is to reach so many consumers in their spaces like social settings and being part of the Budo League. For us it has been fantastic and we look forward to the new season and growing with the league,” Brand Manager, Elizabeth Mutamuliza stressed.
