Crested Cranes forward Phionah Nabbumba joined Danish club B93 Boldklubben in February this year from She Corporate FC.
It has been a loss or a draw in the opening games of Nabbumba’s side but finally, they won a game on Sunday after beating Odense Queens.
Phiona Nabbumba’s side beat Odense Queens 3-1 in a game she entered in the 69th minute and it was her first time starting on the bench.
In their opening game of the league, B93 Boldklubben lost 2-1 to Naested. In the second game, B93 Boldklubben shared the spoils with Aab after a 2-2 all-draw.
The win for B93 Boldklubben took them to the fourth position with four points, five points adrift of table leaders AGF.
The top two teams qualify for the top league and that’s B93 Boldklubben’s target this season.
“It’s clear that our target is to qualify for the top league, we haven’t started well and we are working hard together with the technical team to achieve our target,” Nabbumba stated.
Crested Cranes custodian and B93 captain Vannesa Edith Karungi returned from the injury on Sunday but she didn’t feature. She is expected to start in their next game.
B93 Boldklubben will be in action again on Saturday this week in a tough test against the leaders AGF.
