Kampala Queens have today beaten Rines SS WFC 2-1 in Kabojja to maintain their league unbeaten run with two games to end the season.

The queens of soccer got their first goal through Resty Nanziri after just a quarter of an hour.

The visitors looked overwhelmed and Resty Nanziri almost doubled the lead for Kampala Queens but her header was denied by the crossbar.

Into the second half, the hosts started to dominate possession of the game and they were awarded a penalty.

Eva Nagayi made no mistake as she leveled matters for Rines SS from the spot to score her sixth goal of the season.

Kampala Queens couldn’t drop points at home against a struggling side and Margret Kunihira clinically scored the second goal to restore their lead.

This was Kunihira’s fourth goal in four games against Rines SS WFC in the FUFA Women’s Super League.

The win for the Queens helped them to maintain their 100% record against the opponents and also to stay unbeaten in the league this season.

Rines are now only two points above the relegation heading into the final bend of the league.

Queens will play their next game on Wednesday 26th April against Kawempe Muslim at 4 pm in Kawempe.

For Rines, it will be a relegation fight as they face rivals She Corporate at Kabaka Kyabangu Stadium in a win or drop-down game.
