Kampala Queens WFC has clinched the 2022/23 FUFA Women’s Super League title in amazing style, with the league four matchdays away from the end.

The Queens beat UCU Lady Cardinals 2-0 on Sunday at IUIU, Kaboja courtesy of a Bridget Nabisalu own goal and a late Shamirah Nalugya strike, to wrap up a dominant morning, and campaign overall.

The comfortable victory had the side shoot to 40 points, 17 ahead of runners-up Kawempe Muslims. Meanwhile, the highest number of point-tally the latter can get is 12 which is five less than the gap.

The huge spenders haven’t lost a match so far this season, winning 13 of their 14 games, and have shared spoils just once.

Up to this point, the Hamza Lutalo-coached side has scored the most (27), yet they have also let in the least number of goals (4).

In clinching the title, they have made up for last season’s heartbreak, as they surrendered it to She Corporates FC by a one-goal difference.

In a much more aggressive manner, Kampala Queens went big and acquired the likes of Hasifah Nassuna, Joan Nabirye, Sumayah Komuntale, Asia Nakibuuka, Daisy Nakaziro, Teddy Najjuma, Elizabeth Nakigozi among others, most of whom, have been integral to the success.
