Four-time Uganda Premier League winners URA FC suffered a shocking 1-2 defeat to strugglers Busoga United on their return to Mehta Stadium Lugazi, on Saturday.

After over six years away, the Tax Collectors made a return to the den but it didn’t go to plan, as the Jinja-based side rose from a goal down to take all three points.

It had promised to be a return day to remember for URA FC as Kabon Living netted the opener in the 24th minute, only for Bashamu Mugwa to level matters moments before halftime.

Mugwa spoiled the party even further in the 60th minute, to usher URA FC tactician Sam Timbe to a first league defeat in the second round.

The victory lifted Busoga from the relegation zone to 12th on the 15-team log, with 18 points in as many games.

URA in the eighth position has already suffered league defeat on five occasions. In the process, they have picked just as many victories and eight stalemates, piling pressure on Timbe.
