Express FC will host KCCA FC tomorrow at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, as both teams hunt for their first win of the season.
The two giants will lock horns in a Matchday Two encounter of the Uganda Premier League under floodlights at 8:00 PM.
Express FC Head Coach Morley Byekwaso sounded a warning bell to his players during the pre-match press conference this afternoon:
“We are all aware of the game that is going to be played. We are hosting KCCA here. It’s not going to be an easy game. KCCA is one of the strongest sides in the league.”
Addressing the threat ahead and emphasizing the need to avoid back-to-back defeats, Byekwaso stressed that his players must be intentional:
“Of course, we need to do our best. Tactically, we need to be much smarter than the visitors. We need to dominate possession across all three thirds of the pitch.”
“We really need to fight extremely hard when we don’t have the ball. If we execute all aspects of the game properly, I think we will be victorious.”
He also shared some team news, announcing the return of national team players to the squad: “They’re okay, they’re fine. I think they are all geared up and prepared to face KCCA FC.”
Meanwhile, his counterpart expressed respect for Express FC while remaining confident about taking all three points back to Lugogo.
“We don’t have an option but to go there and win the game. We lost our first match, so I know what we need tomorrow, and we will try our best. That setback only fueled us,” KCCA FC Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo noted.
