UPDF vs BUL – Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo (4:00 PM)
Uganda Premier League fans will be treated to an Independence Day special double-header today at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
The Matchday 5 encounters will see 2005 champions Police Football Club make a short trip from Kamwokya to face Entebbe UPPC in the early kickoff.
Both sides are tied on seven points from four matches, each recording two victories, one draw, and one defeat. The winner will close the gap to just two points behind table leaders BUL, who are not in action until Sunday when they take on UPDF.
The second fixture, played under floodlights, will feature four-time champions URA Football Club hosting KCCA Football Club in arguably the biggest game of the round.
KCCA FC beat Kataka 1-0 in their final game before the international break to secure their first win of the season, having managed just one point from their opening three games.
On the other hand, URA FC, with only three points to their name from a possible nine, were beaten 4-1 by NEC in their last outing.
Both head coaches, Jimmy Kintu Mwera (URA FC) and Brian Ssenyondo (KCCA FC), are under enormous pressure to deliver a positive result.
After today’s fixtures, action will return on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM, when army side UPDF faces Jinja-based BUL at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
