The Valley Warriors clinched the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League title on the final day after beating Olila HS 3-1 while title rivals She Corporate were held to a goalless draw by She Maroons in Njeru.
Heading into Sunday, Kawempe needed victory and a favour elsewhere to win the league. They delivered their part with a composed performance as the tension slowly turned into celebration.
Jovia Nakagolo, Latifah Nakasi and captain Agnes Nabukenya scored for Kawempe, while Mary Lotyang grabbed Olila’s consolation.
The win lifted Kawempe to 52 points, one ahead of She Corporate, making them the first side in league history to win the title with such a points tally.
It is Kawempe’s sixth league crown and one built on consistency across the season. They won 16 matches, drew two and lost only twice, fewer defeats than any other team in the league.
They also finished as the league’s top scorers with 43 goals and had the best defence after conceding only 13 times. Kawempe added the fair play award to cap off a memorable campaign.
Nakasi’s goal against Olila carried extra importance. The striker moved level with She Corporate forward Jesca Namanda in the race for the golden boot after Namanda failed to score against She Maroons.
Both players finished the season with 15 league goals.
Although She Corporate missed out on the title, Namanda was named the league’s Most Valuable Player after an impressive season leading the line for her side.

Her teammate Molly Naava won Goalkeeper of the Season after keeping 12 clean sheets, two more than Kawempe goalkeeper Saidat Namwanje.

At the bottom of the table, Olila HS and Asubo Ladies were relegated to the FUFA Women Elite League.
Kawempe will now represent Uganda in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA qualifiers later this year.
