The preliminaries for the 2023 Uganda National Open Boxing edition boxed off yesterday with 87 bouts on the cards inside the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Due to a heavy downpour, the outdoor experience didn’t happen as Uganda Boxing Federation fixed two rings inside the Arena in a safety move as a slippery floor can injure boxers.
At the end of the day, unbeatable performances from the athletes were exhibited as the journey of true champions got underway. Winners will join the table of men.
With the promotion to the Uganda Boxing Champions League on the line, all kinds of punches are floating in the air with the finest boxers climbing while their opponents bow out.
The most exciting boxer of the day was Cobap boxing club’s Bruce Kimbugwe whose stylish offensive play and body movement had the crowd on their feet as he destroyed Katwe boxing club’s Moses Luswata.
