Saturday will mark the International Boxing Day and the local boxing organising body has organised a fight night to celebrate the big day.
The event at Lugogo Indoor Arena will start with an exhibition fight between Abdu Tebazalwa and Adam Khassim.
The theme for this year is boxing for Africa and the main goal is to have boxing reach each and everyone.
This day was inaugurated in 1974 and it has always been celebrated only that in Uganda past leaders never made sense of it.
This year main celebrations will be held in Kinshasa, DRC and the IBA president has invited his personal friend UBF president Moses Muhangi to celebrate the day with him in Kinshasa.
