In a bid to honour Uganda female basketball players, the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association staged a Women’s Day championship.
Hosted at Wandegeya YMCA, JT Jaguars defeated St Noah 55-26 in the finals to clinch the title on a sunny Wednesday in Kampala.
Well, the road to the finals was an easy one for both teams as; Jaguars defeated KIU 40-29 while St Noah eased past JKL Lady Dolphins 40-28.
The tournament winners took the trophy home whereas runners-up St Noah received a cash prize of 500,000 Uganda shillings as a token of appreciation from the sponsors, and the tournament MVP was Namuwaya Muhayimuna from JT Jaguars.
