Yesterday, women all over the world received gifts of all kinds  as a token of appreciation for their good deeds.

In the Uganda Cricket fraternity, it was above and beyond for the 12 finest in the game as they bagged contracts from the Uganda Cricket Association.

After a review of over four months, it was the first time UCA rewarded the girls with contracts that will guarantee them not only monthly pay but medical care as well.

We believe this will motivate the ladies to scale greater heights, especially later in the year when they travel to South Africa for the T20 World Cup Qualifiers.

The 12 contracted players have been categorized into two groups A and B based on their performances last year and below is the classification.

Category A:

Consy Aweko, Kevin Awino, Janet Mbabazi, Evelyn Anyipo, Immaculate Nakisuyi, Rita Musamali, Sarah Akiteng.

Category B:

Stephanie Nampiina, Irene Alumo, Phiona Khulume, Patricia Malemikia, Gloria Obukor.

The Victoria Pearls are preparing for many series this year with; the Victoria Series at home, the annual Kwibuka in Rwanda, and the T20 World Cup Qualifiers in South Africa.
