At the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe, Uganda Women’s Victoria Pearls completed a perfect run to lift the first-ever Easter Women’s T20 Cup, finishing the tournament unbeaten after six straight wins.

Their final statement came against USA Women, where they sealed an 11 run victory to cap a dominant campaign that saw them win all three meetings between the sides.

At the start, USA Women won the toss opted to bowl against Uganda Women. However Uganda then posted 101 for 5 wickets in their 20 overs after a steady but tested batting display. Captain Janet Mbabazi top scored with 31, holding the innings together after early setbacks.
Rita Musamali added a calm unbeaten 21, while Malisa Ariokot gave a late push with a quick 13 not out off just five balls.

USA bowlers kept things tight, with Maahi Madhavan taking three wickets, but Uganda still managed to post a fighting total on a tricky surface.
In reply, USA Women were restricted to 90 all out in 19 overs as Uganda’s bowling unit delivered under pressure. Immaculate Nakisuuyi led the attack with four wickets, breaking the backbone of the chase at key moments.

Mutonyi Irene added three wickets to finish off the innings, while Consylate Aweko Nimungu chipped in with one as USA fell short despite resistance from Isani Mahesh Vaghela (19) and Sainavi Kambalapalli (18).

In the end, Uganda Won by 11 runs and Immaculate Nakisuuyi was named Player of the match.

The win confirmed Uganda’s dominance of the competition, ending with six wins from six matches and a well earned trophy lift.
Individually, Musamali was named Best Batter after scoring 113 runs in the tournament. Sarah Akiteng was the standout performer, winning Best Bowler after taking 13 wickets and Aditiba Indrajitsinh Chudasama bagged the MVP accolade.



Uganda now shift focus to the Capricorn Series, carrying strong momentum and confidence from a flawless title-winning run.
