The Kampala Regional Juniors League climaxed over the weekend with Prosper Soccer Academy being crowned as champions.
The Ronald Ssali-coached side remarkably won the Regional championship with two games to spare.
On the last day of the league, Prosper came from behind to beat NEC Soccer Academy 3-2 to end the season on a high note.
Goals from Fred Muwanguzi, Patrick Ouke, and Franklin Tamale‘s late winner saw them register their 19th victory.
The side drew 6 times and lost only one game in 26 games played and managed to collect 78 points, 7 points clear from the second-placed KCCA FC Soccer Academy.
A win with a difference of two or above goals had the winner claim an extra point and Prosper picked 15 points thanks to their goal-scoring prowess.
SC Villa Junior Team’s Junior Nuwamanya ended the league as the top scorer with 21 goals, one above KCCA FC‘s Madut Ngong.
The best teams from each region will battle for the National Championship at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru later this month.
