T20-Africa Cup: Cricket Cranes trek to Nairobi in hunt for gold

The Cricket Cranes have been flagged off to Nairobi, Kenya for the Continental Cup T20- Africa set to bowl off this Friday at the Gymkhana Cricket Ground.

Laurence Mahatlane and his team will battle with three other nations namely; Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda, and hosts Kenya.

Uganda has taken a 14-man squad that has two debutants; Siraje Nsubuga and Robinson Obuya.

Dinesh Nakrani and Bilal Hassan are also back in the team having missed out on the Qatar tour in March this year.

The tournament was supposed to be a single round-robin, but it will be played on a triple-round basis following Nigeria and Tanzania’s withdrawal.

Kenya against Rwanda get the event underway on Friday morning before Uganda takes on Botswana in the afternoon.

Roger Mukasa, Simon Ssesazi, Kenneth Waiswa, Riazat Ali Shah, Dinesh Nakrani, Alpesh Ramjani, Brian Masaba, Cyrus Kakuru, Robinson Obuya, Franco Nsubuga, Henry Ssenyondo, Bilal Hassun, Pascal Murungi and, Siraje Nsubuga.
