Vipers SC maintained their grip at the top of the Uganda Premier League table with a narrow 1-0 victory over Police FC at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Thursday.
In a game of few clear-cut chances, Yunus Sentamu emerged as the match-winner, scoring three minutes after halftime.
The forward capitalized on a well-timed cutback from skipper Allan Okello to fire home at the far post, securing all three points for the Venoms.

Sentamu had earlier thought he had put Vipers ahead in the 27th minute, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
With the win, Vipers moved to 46 points, extending their lead to six over second-placed NEC FC, who face Wakiso Giants on Friday.
Police FC, meanwhile, remain in 13th place with 20 points, hovering just above the relegation zone.
