Sevens teams’ focus turns to African Games

After the conclusion of the second installation of the 2024 HSBC Challenger Series, the Uganda Rugby Cranes and Lady Cranes turn their eyes to the African Games.

The 2022 Africa Men’s 7s champions and 2023 Women’s Safari 7s Winners connected to Accra straight from Montevideo after last weekend’s exploits.

The Cranes are one of 7 teams in this year’s competition i.e. Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, Burkina-Faso, and Benin. The lady Cranes are one of five teams in this year’s competition, i.e. Uganda, Tunisia, Madagascar, Ghana, and Nigeria.

The rugby games will take place from March 19th to 21st at the newly constructed rugby stadium at the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra.

The games will be played in a round-robin format with the team with the most points at the end of day three proclaimed Champion.
