Arguably the best boxer inside Uganda, olympian Shadir Musa Bwogi cemented his place as the best in the Super Welterweight over the weekend.
The former Uganda boxing national team captain who turned professional knocked out Ivan Magumba in the first round at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The former Bomber was in control from the onset thanks to his quick feet and fists to register a commanding victory in his third paying fight.
“I want to challenge for the African title because now I qualify for such big contests and eventually go for world titles,” said Bwogi after the win.
Magumba, a Uganda Police Constable was the third victim of Bwogi who earlier defeated Herbert Mugalula and Henry Kasujja, both fights happening last year.
Again, it was his strong left that delivered the win as Magumba kissed the canvas, but survived the Referee’s count to get back to his two legs.
Well, at this moment, Bwogi had smelt victory hence going for the kill and a quick combination of punches sent a vulnerable Magumba back to the floor hence losing his stamina.
With Magumba trying to use the ropes to get back on his feet in vain, it was another confirmed stop in the history books of Bwogi.
