Former boxing national team captain, Shadir Musa Bwogi was today voted the Nile Special USPA Sports personality for January 2023 at the Imperial Royale hotel.
Bwogi brushed off challenges from Mukono Women’s Pool Club, Motocross’s Waleed Omar who won the MX125cc class in the first round of the National motocross championship in Garuga and Itanda Kayaker‘s Cricket team for winning the T20 championship.
The boxer who defeated Ivan Magumba to win a national title posted 260 points, and closely rallied behind him were the Mukono Women’s Pool Club (205), Waleed Omar (180), and Itanda Kayakers (105) points.
The professional boxer will receive a plaque and a cash prize worth Uhs500,000 at USPA’s monthly dinner.
In other news, USPA will have a soccer game against the parliament of Uganda on the 17th of February 2023 at a venue that will soon be disclosed.
