The local sports governing body, National Council of Sports (NCS) held their 2022 awards on Friday night at the Hockey Grounds, Lugogo.
The event had NCS award six outstanding sports federations of last year on the international stage.
Uganda Athletics Federation, Uganda Rugby Union and Uganda Ludo Association were rewarded for their world success stories.
Further more, Federation of Uganda Football Associations, Association of Uganda University Sports and Uganda Cricket Association also walked away with awards.
The national council of sports also recognized long-serving sports administrators namely; Handball president Sheilah Agonzibwa, Cycling president Samuel Mahaba and Weightlifting president Salim Musoke.
The night had some light moments led by female singer Cindy Sanyu who lit up the awards thanks to her energetic performance not forgetting her queen dancers.
Still on the light side of the awards, more entertainment was on the menu in form of acrobatics and cake cutting after dinner.
