Team Uganda once again dominated the Jubilee Live Free Race in Nairobi over the weekend, claiming the highest number of podium finishes.
With over 100 dedicated riders, the Pearl of Africa put up an exceptional performance against the region’s best at the 5th edition of the event.
Main race defending champion Jordan Schleck Ssekanwagi crossed the finish line first, followed by Kenyan Evans Wangai and Ugandan Olympian and seed one Charles Kagimu, respectively.
Ssekanwagi added to his previous two victories in the race, etching his name into the event’s history. In total, Uganda secured six gold, one silver, and two bronze medals to take home the overall overall award.
Uganda’s sole female gold medal was won by Mary Aleper, who successfully defended her Under-23 Women’s title.
