What the coaches said
Assistant coach Fred Wasajja was impressed with the performance of his players but cautioned them that they need to win their remaining two group stage games.
“I’m happy for the performance of my boys. It was a tough game. People might think Gulu is a weak team but they gave us a tough challenge. Our target is to win all the games in the group stages,” Wasajja said.
Gulu coach Robert Omonyi believes his team made a lot of mistakes that cost them the game.
“We lost the game but I want to say I’m happy with the boys, with the way we played. The opponents are a good team and have been together for long. That’s why they can play like that.”
“We created a lot of chances especially in the first half but we failed to utilize them. We also made a lot of mistakes which cost us. Our target is to at least win our last two games,” Omonyi said.
