Newcomers NEC FC will be welcoming BUL FC today under the floodlights of MTN-Omondi Stadium in the match day 25 of Startimes Uganda Premier League.
After Vipers dropping points yesterday in 1-all draw with Maroons and Kitara’s 2-1 win over Express FC earlier today, third placed BUL FC have a chance to go two points clear at the top if they overcome NEC this evening.
However, fifth placed NEC FC will also be seeking to get maximum points to narrow the gap from the top to four points, and keep their title challenge alive.
Coming into this fixture, the two sides shared spoils in the first leg with Samuel Ssekamatte scoring a later equalizer to cancel out Rashid Okoacha’s goal for NEC.
Speaking to media via club’s social media platforms, BUL FC head coach Abbey Kikomeko is aware of NEC’s threat.
”We are playing a tough team that can hurt you if you make mistakes, so we must handle the game well and overcome them tactically,” said Kikomeko.
BUL will miss Douglas Muganga who remains sidelined, Hillary Onek was booked against Express and will not travel for the game due to suspension over accumulated bookings.
NEC have Geriga Atendele available after missing recent training sessions with an injury, and Sulaiman Ssesazi is also back, but Gaddafi Wahab is suspended after he picked up a third yellow against URA.
