Uganda Table Tennis Under 11 national team won two gold and two silver medals at the Rwanda Hopes Week & Challenge Championship 2023.
A squad of four youngsters namely; Joseph Sebatindira, Sharif Nsereko, Patience Anyango, and Patra Nasirumbi nearly swept all gold medals.
Each of the players won a medal with Sebatindira and Anyango bagging gold each while Nsereko and Nasirumbi settled for silver.

Team leader Sebatindira registered a 3-0 scorecard as the youngsters conquered the Eastern Africa Region ITTF of 14 countries.
The good performance earned them slots to represent our Region at the Africa Continental Hopes Championship in South Africa.
With a bigger target now in sight, the backroom staff led by two coaches; Alvin Katumba and Tendo Mary Balyewunya have to up their game.
The availability of a facility in Club Nakasero Table Tennis Club under the watch of Uganda’s 3 Time Olympian, Mary Musoke, means the team is in good hands.
Her Olympic experience is proving to be a huge game-changer for the players at this club and it’s evident in the success stories.
