UCU Canons put up a dominant display as they beat Dmark Power 81-50 in the Men’s National Basketball League on Friday at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.

The Mukono side quickly got into gears and led 24-09 in the opening quarter, before further extending it to 48-20 at halftime.

It was 69-34 by the end of the third quarter before they won it with a 31-point gap.

UCU were inspired by a brilliant Jerry Kayanga display, as he shot a five-for-10 for 21 points, which was a game-high.

Jimmy Otim and Peter Sifuma supplemented with 16 and 12 points respectively. The latter also added six rebounds.

Imran Samad and Guellord Mobanza were Power’s highest scorers with 14 and 12 points respectively in a losing effort.

While UCU Canons improved their seasonal show to 3-3, Power derailed further as they’re 2-5 in the seven games they’ve played.
