The Uganda U16 Women’s National Team will be in action today as they take on Paraguay in the inaugural UEFA U16 Women’s Friendship tournament in Turkey.

The game will be played at the Hasan Dogan National teams camp and training facilities in Istanbul, Turkey at 4:30PM (EAT)

Competing for the first time in an invitational tournament, Uganda’s head coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula believes that his girls will do wonders.

”We have had a successful last training, and all the 19 players are in a good shape and ready to execute against Paraguay,” started Lukula.

”We are here to compete not to participate and together with my technical team, we’re going to do a wonderful job. I’m impressed with the girls and the facilities here which will allow us to play our way and get maximum points.” he concluded

The CAF A tactician also named Ritah Nambusi as the team’s captain. Nambusi is also the young sibling of Kawempe Muslim’s captain Phiona Nabulime.

Uganda is pitted in group B alongside China, Paraguay and Wales and the tournament will climax on 19th of this month.
