“In line with our strategic plan, the sport must be all-inclusive since it’s an Olympic sport,” FAU CEO Ibrahim Mugera stated.

This version will be played inside three windows, with the first round taking place from the 16th of May to the 30th of May.

Action will return from the 7th of September to the 21st of the same month while the final will wait till December.

The last window, which will determine the first-ever champion will begin on the 14th, into the festival season ending on the 28th.

By press time, only four teams had confirmed to take part in this year’s League namely; Azteks, KJT, Habonom, and Kick It.

“We are targeting girls that will form the U18 national team ahead of the Youth Olympic Games,” Mugera concluded.

The youth Olympic games will be held in Dakar, Senegal in 2026 and if this works out, Uganda will field a sound team.
