This Sunday, all roads lead to the Bweyogerere-based Kings Park Arena, as the Uganda Rugby Cranes will be playing eternal rivals, Kenya Simbas, in the final game of the shortened version of the Victoria Cup.

Uganda did away with Zambia in game one, winning 30-08 before the latter lost to Kenya 36-12 four days later.

The two nations last met in 2022, in the Rugby Africa Gold Cup in France, with Kenya coming out on top.

Uganda’s game against Kenya will also serve as the first leg of the Elgon Cup, with Kenya hosting the return fixture a week later.

The last time the two met in the competition, Uganda won away in Kisumu before the Simbas walked into a muddy Kyadondo, powered by Jacob Ojee’s late heartbreaker to win and retain the Elgon Cup.

Uganda has not won the Elgon Cup since 2012.
