Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club have sacked their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ivor Sempa Kimbugwe.
Kimbugwe, who joined the club at the start of the 2022/23 season, will be replaced by Freda Ayerango.
Kimbugwe’s departure comes after a successful season for Uganda Martyrs, who won the FUFA Women’s Cup, their first ever competitive trophy.
The club also finished third in the FUFA Women Super League.
Ayerango is a former Uganda Martyrs Lubaga coach and has extensive experience in the women’s football industry.
She is expected to bring a new level of professionalism to the club.
In addition to the CEO change, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga have also parted ways with three players: Catherine Nagadya, Patience Nabulobi, and Esther Namusoke.
The club has also appointed new coaches for the 2023/24 season: Rogers Nkugwa and Rajab Buyinza.
The changes at Uganda Martyrs Lubaga come as the club prepares for a new season.
The team will be looking to build on their success of last season and challenge for the FUFA Women Super League title.

let the former CEO come back since they are bringing former workers eg coach Nkugwa who I dislike for many reasons, thank you sir for the service you have rendered to us,we wish you well
I feel bad for him Bambi,it’s so sad to be sacked after winning a trophy for the club but he failed to do well when it comes to the exodus of young players, imagine 3 starters crossing to our first rival, ate nga others want to go,they talk to us,so on that I blame the administration, anyway wish you success in your next club, you had started wearing our badge everywhere
