Defending champions Uganda Martyrs University will travel to Entebbe to face University of Kisubi on Thursday in the University Football League.

Martyrs are looking to make it two wins in two games after defeating Bugema University in their opening game and their coach Eric Kisuze is optimistic they can still replicate the performance.

“As defending champions, we know that everyone wants to beat us. But we are looking to defend our title and also want to win all our games,” said Martyrs coach Eric Kisuze.

“Our strategy may not be the beautiful football that we all want to see but as long as we get the ball in the net, I am happy,” he added.

University of Kisubi, who lost their opening game 3-0 to Kabale University, will be seeking to bounce back. Coach Jesse Lukoki is confident that his team can do it.

“It is possible to beat Uganda Martyrs and that is what we are going to do on Thursday,” said Lukoki.

“Although we lost our first game away to Kabale I believe we shall do better on our home ground.”

“What is important is to show great fighting spirit and determination. We believe in ourselves and we did not come here to just participate.”

“As UniK we want to go all the way and to do that we need to make a mark against Uganda Martyrs,” Lukoki added.
