Uganda’s swimming fraternity is buzzing with excitement following the federation’s announcement of its delegation for the African Junior Championship.
The continental showpiece is set to take place in Egypt from April 30th to May 3rd, 2025, where Africa’s best young swimmers will compete for their respective flags.
A talented group of eight young athletes, accompanied by a dedicated coach, will represent the nation at this prestigious continental event.
The selected team showcases the depth of talent emerging from Uganda’s swimming scene, with athletes hailing from various clubs across the country.
Led by their dedicated Head Coach, Latif Kajumbi, the selection of these athletes is a testament to their unwavering commitment and the tireless efforts of their respective coaches.

The federation also extended its gratitude to the coaches of the selected athletes, acknowledging their crucial role in shaping the athletes’ development.
“The dedication of these coaches is invaluable,” they stated. “Their hard work and commitment are the foundation of the success of these young swimmers.”
