Uganda Table Tennis Youth Team Trains in Cairo for World Championship

The Uganda Tennis Association (UTA) has sent a team of four players to Cairo, Egypt, for a high-performance training camp in preparation for the upcoming World Table Tennis Youth Contender Championship.

The training camp, which commenced on Friday, October 13, 2023, and will run until October 20, 2023, will be conducted by top coaches from China, the No.1 table tennis country in the world.

The four players selected for the training camp are:

Plascon
  • Sir Joseph Sebatindira (boys)
  • Sam Ankunda (boys)
  • Parvin Nangonzi (girls)
  • Jemimah Nakawala (girls)

The team will be under the tutelage of Alvin Katumba, who will serve as head coach and head of delegation.

The World Table Tennis Youth Contender Championship will be held in Egypt from October 22 to October 29, 2023.
