Soltilo Bright Stars will be keen on mounting revenge against Wakiso Giants FC in the Uganda Premier League when the two meet in the Wakiso derby at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

The Purple Sharks beat the Stars 2-0 in the first round, thanks to a goal apiece from Sharif Kimbowa and Lawrence Bukenya.

Meanwhile, Bright Stars is enjoying a relatively good run of results, picking three wins and two draws in the last five matches.

They have managed wins over Vipers SC, Onduparaka FC, and Busoga United, and, ahead of their next assignment against Wakiso Giants FC on Tuesday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, head coach Asaph Mwebaze is confident of continuity.

“We come in the game with a run of three wins in the last five games, and we are in better form than Wakiso,” he told the club media on Monday.

“It might be difficult because Wakiso Giants might be motivated by the fact that it is a sort of a derby, but we’re ready, have rectified the mistakes we have been making, and we go into this game as slight favourites,” he added.

“We are thinking we are going to pick the three points, and the boys are geared up and fired up.”

Bright Stars has a chance to make fourth with victory from their current seventh place where they lie with 35 points in 25 matches.

On the other hand, Wakiso Giants can go from ninth to sixth with 36 points should they win, if results elsewhere head their way.
