As the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League nears completion, with three games to go, all teams are in desperate attempts to grind positive results.
It won’t be any different as relegation-threatened Busoga United visit Arua Hill at the Barifa Stadium on today.
With the Leopards aiming to strengthen their grip on fourth place, Busoga on the hand, will be playing for their lives as they look to stay up, at least for another season.
“It’s a very important game, it’s great to be at home playing in front of the fans. We played Busoga United at their home and it was a narrow 1-0 win. With the position they are in, it makes this game difficult for both teams,” said Arua Hill assistant head coach Ahmed Borini to the club media.
“The difference now is the positions, they are fighting for their survival and we are fighting to maintain our position of finishing in the top four,” he added.
“And it’s not going to be easy because they will come all out to win but since we are home we have to be at our best to overcome them to get a result.”
Arua Hill were 1-0 winners against Busoga in the first round at Kakindu Stadium, courtesy of Reagan Mpande’s lone strike.
While a win for the hosts will have them move to 41 points in fourth, a Busoga victory will strengthen their chances of survival.
