Following an announcement on Monday afternoon, Victoria Univeristy has awarded 13 full study 3-year scholarships to Uganda Rugby’s brightest and next big deals.
Victoria University, in coordination with the newly elected Age-grade and development chairperson, Dorothy Nekesa, awarded the scholarship to 13 gentlemen across 7 clubs from the Premiership and the central championship.
The 13 gentlemen will be flagbearers for the first-ever rugby team at Victoria University, according to information reaching us.
Notable on the list are U20 skipper Calvin Gizamba and Buffaloes’ rocket Tukei Aaron.

However this will not be the first rodeo of Victoria University in the Uganda Rugby Premier League.
In 2012-2013, the team finished fifth in the league and won their first major trophy, the Uganda Cup 2013.
Owing to the Uganda Cup victory, Victoria University took part in the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup.
