Uganda’s Gazelles yesterday booked themselves into a winner takes it all final against Egypt today at the Lugogo indoor Arena.
The full week Zone five tournament will climax with a third-place playoff between Kenya and South Sudan at 3 pm as the curtain raiser.
The final game of the tournament at 6 pm will see hosts Uganda up against Egypt who they edged by one point a couple of days back in a contest where the winner will feature at the 2023 FIBA Women Afrobasket in July/August in Kigali, Rwanda.
The road to the final saw Egypt beat Kenya 82-57 while Uganda brushed off Rwanda 78-70. Uganda, Kenya, and Egypt tied on points, wins, and losses hence game points differences came into play.
The Gazelles will count on the massive support from Ugandans to be the extra player in the showdown.
