The Uganda National football U-20 team were edged by Ethiopia 1-0 in the last Group B match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Sudan.
Despite the loss though, the Hippos are through to the semi-finals following their opening day victory over regional rivals, Tanzania.
On Saturday against the Ethiopians, Kedir Muhammed scored in the 60th minute for the only goal of the match, and handed Uganda their first loss.
The result also implied Uganda finished second in the three-team group with three points, setting up a tie against Group A leaders Sudan.
Ethiopia who finished as Group B toppers and will meet South Sudan in the other semifinal on Tuesday.
Each side that will hit the final will qualify for the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
