BUL FC grinded out a slim 1-0 victory over Onduparaka FC to get back to winning ways in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Wednesday.

Karim Ndugwa‘s lone strike in the latter stages of the match ensured the Jinja side keep at the top of the 15-team log with 14 points from six matches.

BUL’s dominance was met by an equally strong Caterpillar set-up that took up to the 82nd minute for Ndugwa’s winner.

Earlier, the hosts had threatened and should have taken the lead in the 28 minute through Richard Wandyaka but his effort was cleared off the line by defender Benard Ndifuna.

Second half entrant Ibrahim Mugulusi nearly broke the deadlock for BUL through a well-curled 57th minute freekick, but it was met by a strong Mathias Muwanga hand.

Later, Ndugwa nodded past Muwanga for his fourth goal of the Season, in just six matches.

While BUL maintained top-spot with 14 points, Onduparaka occupy the base with just a single point.

In their next fixture, BUL will be away to Express FC next Tuesday while Onduparaka will host Busoga this Saturday.
