Following a month plus of action, the Bika Bya Baganda 2026 is set to come to an end as Nkima stands in Mamba Kakoboza way of becoming new Shield winner on their first appearance in final probably a number 15 clans has ever won the Bika Football Shield.
For Nkima, they are looking for their fourth shield as they also have a chance to set the shortest time between their truimps having won in 1962, 1993 and 2018 all the gaps spaning to over 20 years while it is only 8 years since the last triumph.
Despite being the underdogs by record, Mamba Kakoboza is a better side on paper with big players such as Isa Mubiru, Nicholas Kabobge, Disan Galiwango, Warren Buule, Hassan Mubiru, Goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya, Hakim Mutebi and many others.
For Nkima they opted to operate with few well known players such as Amuli Mukasa, as they chose to operate on new crop under Coach Steve Populary known as Coach Messi.
To reach the Final, Both teams have conceded only one goals in three games while Kakoboza has scored one goal more than Nkima who average a goal per game.
In Semifinal, Nkima eliminated Ngo and Mamba Kakoboza stopped Kkobe, hours before the final, even as usual semifinalists shall hustle it for the third place at Muteesa ll Stadium,Wankulukuku.
