City Oilers finished second after two victories and one loss behind Burundi’s Urunani, as both advanced.

Their first game ended in victory, a sounding 90-54 win over Matero Magic of Zambia on Friday.

They then suffered a setback to Urunani, who won the tie 64-58 in a tight contest, before the Sunday victory.

The Elite 16 is the final qualification round for BAL, and will be played in Cape Town, South Africa in November this year.
