A total of 30 coaches graduated from the CAF D Diploma Coaching Course in Uganda on Friday, June 23, 2023.

The course was organized by Uganda Women Football Association (UWFA) in conjunction with FUFA at FUFA SIG’S offices in Mengo.

The graduates included two players from the 2021/22 FUFA Women Super League champions, She Corporate FC: Anitah Arinda and Resty Nalweyiso.

Arinda said she was grateful for the opportunity to learn from the experienced coaches who taught the course.

“I thank the organizers for sharing coaching knowledge with us, we have surely learned a lot that will help and guide us in our coaching career,” she said.

“I encourage my fellow players and women in football, to engage themselves in learning different football courses that will help them in their future after active football,” she added.

The course covered a wide range of topics, including football basics, developing players from grassroots, and coaching methodology.

The graduates will now be eligible to coach teams at the grassroots level.

The successful completion of this course is a significant step forward for the development of women’s football in Uganda.

It will help to ensure that there is a pool of qualified coaches available to train and develop female players at all levels.
