Ceylon Lions moved to the top of the men’s 50 over Cricket League with their fourth win of the season, with a comprehensive 8 wicket win against Tornado at the Serenity Oval in Kamengo.

Ceylon Lions bowling made the game easy for them, thanks to Ruwan Jayaratne and David Wabwire who picked two wickets each.

National team assistant captain Deus Muhumuza was very mean with the ball, claiming three wickets.

The chase had Falak Sher putting 64 on the board with support from Deus Muhumuza who managed 19 runs as Ceylon Lions picked up their first league win at the Serenity Oval.

From Masaka road, Kyambogo Avengers picked up their second win of the season and condemned Kutchi Tigers to their second loss of the season.

Harshal Panchal’s five wickets pick ripped through the Kutchi Tigers batting line to earn his team a comprehensive win.

In Entebbe Tornado and Patidar played out a low scoring thriller as Patidar won by just 3 runs.

Tornado looked good for the win at 108/5 but Chitani Kerai (picked five wickets) threw a spanner in the works as a the final 5 wickets for Tornado scored just 20 runs to gift Patidar a 3 run win.

A new look Tornado had some experienced names such as Rogers Olipa, Lubega Abdallah, John Gabula and Simon Ayella but nerves got the better of them and dropped points.
