Vipers SC will continue their Stanbic Uganda Cup defense with a semifinal berth against Mbarara City FC after the draw held on Thursday at FUFA House, Mengo.

The first leg of the two-legged tie will be played at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara on May 11th or 12th, with the second leg taking place at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, on May 17th or 19th.

Vipers, who are the defending champions, eliminated Wakiso Giants 3-1 in the quarterfinals, while Mbarara defeated Mbale Heroes 1-0.In the other semifinal, 2020/21 finalists BUL FC will face regional side Booma FC. The first leg will be played in Masindi, with the second leg to be played at a yet to be confirmed venue.

BUL, who are the 2019/20 champions, defeated SC Villa 2-1 after extra time in the quarterfinals, while Booma knocked out Maroons FC. The final will be played on June 11th, 2022.

The draw was overseen by FUFA Professional League manager Shawn Mubiru, Competitions Committees and FUFA Vice-president Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi.
