2025/26 Uganda Cup | SF | First Leg
- URA FC Vs SC Villa- Hamz Stadium | 3 pm
URA dare to dream past SC Villa as the Plascon co-sponsored Uganda Cup offers a final shot at redemption in a difficult season with the tax collectors hosting the first leg of their semi final at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Monday.
URA’s league campaign has struggled for consistency, making the Cup their clearest path to something meaningful.
SC Villa arrive with a similar focus, having slipped out of the title race after defeat to Kitara. For both sides, this tie carries the weight of salvaging their season.
The recent head to head record leans slightly in Villa’s favour. They won the first league meeting at Kadiba before the return leg at Nakivubo ended goalless.
Villa are unbeaten in the last seven meetings between the sides, but URA have quietly held firm at home, going eleven matches without defeat against the Jogoos.
URA showed their fighting spirit in the quarter-finals, coming from two goals down to eliminate KCCA on penalties. That resilience will be needed again.
Captain Moses Aliro leads the side, with former Villa player Joseph Semujju adding extra motivation.
Fred Amaku and Bruno Bunyaga provide the threat up front, while Joshua Lubwama, Rahmat Ssenfuka and Moses Waiswa control the midfield. Ronald Otti anchors the defence.
Villa bring their own attacking edge, Frank Ssebuufu is expected to lead the line, supported by Hassan Mubiru and Patrick Jonah Kakande.

In midfield, Misi Ssemugera, Najib Yiga and Aslam Ssemakula offer balance, with Barasa Mangoli and Geoffrey Lubangakene at the back.
One concern for Villa is their away form, all five of their defeats this season have come on the road. URA will look to use that to their advantage.
