Uganda Cranes will play Cameroon on Thursday in their second preparation game for the forthcoming African Nations Championship.
This will be a day after their first friendly encounter which ended 2-2 up against Sudan in Tunisia at Jamel Stadium.
Vipers SC midfielder Karim Watambala‘s early goal gave Cranes the lead which was cancelled out by Muhammad Abdulrahman who converted from the spot after Derrick Ndahiro‘s foul in the penalty area.
Another St. Mary’s Kitende Stadium player Ibrahim Orit netted to restore Uganda’s lead going into the break.
However, Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic‘s charges failed to lock out Sudan as they conceded in the 65th minute courtesy of Siddig Kuwa.
“We created several chances but we couldn’t put them away. It is one area we need to address ahead of the next two friendlies,” Micho noted.
Uganda Cranes will have two more friendly games against Cameroon and Mali on Thursday and Sunday respectively before leaving Tunisia for Algeria.
Uganda is in group B of the CHAN finals alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast.
