City Oilers stamp might in sixth successive win

Eight-time National Basketball League champions City Oilers yet again showed their sinew as they dispatched UPDF Tomahawks 87-53 on Sunday at the YMCA Court, in the MTN Arena Lugogo.

Following a slight early lead from UPDF, the Oilers exercised absolute dominion from then on taking every quarter, before winning by a 34-point margin.

Titus Lual led the way with a game-high 23 points while he also had 13 rebounds, in a double double.

Compatriot Fayed Bbaale was also, yet again superb as he managed 19 points, six assists and four rebounds in a routine display.

In a losing effort for UPDF, Arthur Wanyoto put up 16 points while Micheal Kojo had 10, with the pair the only ones to manage double figures for their side.

In the other matches in the men’s category, KIU Titans beat Ndejje University Angels 89-72 while Namuwongo Blazers got passed KCCA Panthers in an 89-69 victory on Sunday.
